India’s Got Latent, hosted by Samay Raina, is facing significant backlash following inappropriate jokes made by guest Ranveer Allahbadia in a recent episode. The controversy ignited when Ranveer made offensive remarks that many viewers found unacceptable. In response, comedian Sunil Pal voiced his concerns about the growing trend of inappropriate content created by self-proclaimed comedians such as Ranveer Allahbadia.
Sunil Pal wants 10 years of imprisonment for Ranveer Allahbadia
“I believe it’s time to take strict action against these so-called comedians who are actually a stain on our society,” Sunil stated, as reported by Times Now. “They are like terrorists who rely on foul language and obscene content. They label themselves as content creators, but they lack genuine content and creativity. Such individuals should face serious consequences—at least 10 years in prison for spreading this kind of filth.”
Sunil also criticized popular shows for featuring individuals like Samay Raina, asking, “What message are they sending? Are they suggesting that using vulgarity and obscenities is a ticket to being invited on shows like KBC (Kaun Banega Crorepati) or Bigg Boss?”
The controversy erupted when Ranveer posed a shocking question to a contestant on India’s Got Latent. He asked, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?” This comment drew immediate backlash, prompting Ranveer to issue a public apology via social media.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis emphasized that freedom of expression has its limits. Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi announced her intention to raise the issue in Parliament. Additionally, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) released a statement calling for strict action against the creators involved. They demanded an immediate ban on the show.
